A true test of endurance and strength!
While our Third and Fourth Year programs travel to Northern Saskatchewan together for their canoeing adventures, this trip travels a different route than the Third Years. This trip is all about being prepared, as the trip is all self-contained (meaning there are no food or water drops anywhere on the trip). Meals are designed to be quickly prepared and come from a wide variety of dehydrated products. Although the word dehydrated is used, the youth have said the food compares to home cooked meals made by mom.
The trip begins at Nemeiben Lake, Provincial Park just North West of La Ronge and finishes at Otter Rapids by Missinippi. The total trip distance is 105 km and is not recommended for beginners but intermediate skilled canoers. There are many portages on this trip but they are fairly short.
